Page 6 TAR HEEL NURSE December 1975 Long-term care project established for region A Nationwide Long Term Care Education Center for HEW Region IV has been established by Hillhaven Foundation, with a primary site at Hillhaven Convalescent Center in Raleigh and a satellite site in Boca Raton, Fla. The project is financed by a grant from the Provider Improvement Branch of HEW. The Education Center will provide a course for inservice directors in long term care facilities in the region; programs for multidisciplinary terms for participating in long-term care facilities; and seminars, workshops, or institutes on both a single discipline or interdisciplinary basis. Consultation services for students of these educational programs also is provided. Janet Chermak is project director, and Betty Connell, R.N., is long term health care specialist. About People....
