E'OODaIID-HERRIMG ALUIiNAE ASSOCIATION lirs, Stella E'instead, R.N., President The tfoodard-Kerring Hospital Alurnnae Association, with a rxmbcrship of fii'ty-two, has had nine meetings \jith an average attendance of twenty. Interesting lectures have been arranged by the Prograi:' Chairman, and this has stLuulated more in.terest in the association. A dance was given in honor of the graduating class and a ji^.:' li was presented to the outstanding graduate. In September the Association and Jarolina General Hospital Alui:inae Association jointly entertained District Eie.ht^ at which tint we vjcre delighted to have lliss Florence Vilson, Dean of D^ih^e University School of Nursing, as our guest speal:er. The iissociation has subscribed to the Ai'aerican Journal of Nursing for the. student library. Eon^y has been raised by givi:ig parties and selliiog Christmas cards. Tne Association is proud of Emily Norton ana In^s Finch., w^ho volunteered tj nurs:.; at a polio hospital during the epidemic. The Association has remembered all side nurses with gifts or flov;er.s, aiid the doctors' femilies with floi'vers during bereavement. In 'iiay the association ana District Nme ntcrtained the graduating class v/ith a picnic at Greenf ield Lake, and presented each member of the class With a gift. E'iss "uEnia Scott represented the association at the j ildyear Advisory Council m.eeting in Ralei:-;h in Earch. The association has a balance of ',.58.56 in the treasury. -59-
