Copies of the ANA PC & PS folder and PC & PS Statement of principles have been widely distributed to district officers, faculty members of schools of nursing, and individual nurses and employers of nurses. Members of the state and district committees on PC & PS have assisted in publicizing the Counselor's fie.''d work in the districts. Information and material relative to the activities and objecti^-es of the Senric-3 have been dispatched to the members of the district ccmmiittees on PC & PS through Headquarters' Office. REPORT OF THE SPECIAL COMlvlirTEE ON NURSING IN i-ffiDICAL CARE PLANS Lula Craig, R� N., Chairm.cn The other members of the Cmmittee on Nursing in Medical Care plans are Mrs. Emily pickard, R. N., Durham and Martha Adams, R. N., Charlotte. The Committee has not met dur.'rg the year pending the report from an Insurance Co/rpany of North Carolina, who is making a survey of its subscribers and will furnish us with oata from the diagnostic records of its Company. After this report the Committee will have a clearer picture of the amount of Home Nursing Care and Private Duty Nursing Service needed in working toward the inclusion of nursing service in the voluntary non-profit prepayment plans of North Carolina. REPORT OF SPECIAL COMMITTEE ON RED GROSS tJURSING SERVICE Laks Allen, R. N., Chairman This Committee is composed of Lake Allen, Chair^ran, Greensboro; i-irs. Elaine M. Yliearn, Charlotte and i^/trs, Grace W, Collie, Raleigh. Meetings have been held at intervals during the year. Meii�>ers of the Committee have contributed the following: 1. Acted as liaison betv/een the North Carolina State Nurses' Association and Red Cross Chapter Committees in the following ways; a. Recruiting nurses for polio nursing and instrumental in planning for polio nursing institutes in North Carolina to train first level nurses who in turn will teach second level courses in local communities. b. Cooperating with the Emergency Medi.cal Coivimittee of the Medical Society of North Carolina. 2. Assisted in providing Red Cross material for programs of state and district meetings of nurses' associations. 3. Arranged for a speaker and a Red Cross exhibit for the Annual Convention. N,, Chairman The Registry Committee is composed of Kate Herndon, Chairman, Burhain; Mrs. Kathryn Peebles, Raleigh and Venus Faircloth, Winston-Salem.
