28 The Health Bulletin 4. The can is for the reception of nothing but human filth and the necessary toilet paper. Newspapers, rags, sticks, cotton waste, or any other waste or offal must not be deposited in cans, as they clog the sewer system when emptied into the disposal plant. 5. By all means avoid the use of lime in the cans, as this destroys them in a very short time. A good can properly handled will last about two years or more. If a deodorant is desired, use some one of the coal tar disinfectants. 6. See that the top of the box, after each remoVal of the can, is properly adjusted so as to exclude flies. acA yVoff ofHovse -Sceened ot hot torn 'f f>m6er Dafiped I 'Over kVaUS' A ^ An<f)Of fio//i V Hoi'S* floor I ^ TnNTJJWi Secf'Offo^" f'n.Scr /* ever t¥s//.
