Abstract | Manuscript with hand-applied colors; mounted on linen. Map shows the current road (in 1826) following the French Broad River, the road to be located from Asheville to Ivy Hill, the road already surveyed from the mouth of the Ivy River to "near Mr. B. Baird's" and the old road in all places. Landowners along the road are listed, as well as taverns, ferries, and camps. |
