Abstract	Color print. This map was prepared by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, National Ocean Survey (formerly the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey) with additional data from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the U.S. Coast Guard, and the Defense Mapping Agency. The map is composed of two charts on one sheet. The chart on the right shows the Cape Fear River from its mouth to Reaves Point and the one on the left shows the river from Reaves Point to Wilmington. Soundings are given and the ship channel is marked by broken lines. Information relating to tides, aids to navigation, channel depths, and abbreviations is found in the margins of the map. Includes cautions, notes on VHF Weather Broadcasts for Mariners, Storm Warnings, Authorities, Aids to Navigation, and chart of "Cape Fear River Channel Depths." Inland detail includes cities and towns, landmarks along river and coast, bridges, roads, railroads, lighthouses, Coast Guard stations, Intracoastal Waterway, Fort Caswell, ruins of Old Brunswick, New Hanover Airport, and sand dunes on Cape Fear.
