| Abstract | Printed, both sides. The 1954 state highway map was issued in both black and white and color editions (see MC.150.1954nb for the color edition). A legend explaining the symbols used to indicate the various kinds of roads and highways and the population of cities and towns appears in the lower left below the title. A mileage chart appears as an inset in the lower right corner. Maps of the state's eight major cities appear as insets on the reverse. An index to cities and towns and points of interest, ferry schedules, and highway rules and regulations are also found on the reverse. |
