The map shows the Mabry Mill Pioneer Industry Group Interpretive Plan, part of the master plan, for the Mabry Mill site in Section 1T of the Blue Ridge Parkway. It was designed by Malbon, Arnberger, and Edward H. Abbuehl, and recommended by Superintendent Sam P. Weems, in 1955; it was revised by W.D.H. in 1957. The map shows buildings, roads, walkways, fences, flumes, trees and bushes, a site for an electric power source, and a self-guided tour route on the Mabry Mill site. The bottom left corner of the map shows a list of features in a self-guided tour, including floram bloom and fall color to be rotated with season, photos of the reconstruction of Mabry Mill, live demonstrations by personnel at the Grist Mill and Blacksmith Shop, and various tools and equipment for carpentry, tanning, and lumber drying.
