Color images of clay sculptures crafted by the Blues singer James "Son" Thomas circa 1971 or earlier. These photographs were taken in the backyard of Bill Ferris's home in Jackson, Mississippi, 1971. All sculptures were made of unfired Mississippi Delta clay, and were hand painted by Thomas. Sculpture of a crayfish. |
