Notes
Thomas Wolfe (1900-1938) is considered by many to be North Carolina's greatest literary talent . A native of Asheville , NC , Wolfe earned his Bachelor of Arts at UNC , where he served as editor of the college newspaper and playwright for the Carolina Playmakers . He went on to earn a Master’s degree at Harvard and publish the famous autobiographical novels Look Homeward Angel in 1929 and Of Time and the River in 1935 .
