The North Carolina Collection Photographic Archives, holds a halftone reproduction of a color portrait of Hodges wearing the same suit posed outside the state capitol. The portrait is accompanied by a letter, dated November 1960, to "Officials and Members of State Boards and Commissions" that states Hugh Morton made the "full-color photograph." See accession 103635.
