" Message on back of card read : "Dear Girl;- I was so glad to get a card from you , for the remembrance of an old friend is indeed sweet to me . I expect to go up to see Dr . Louis in Raleigh , feasibly about the middle of next week , & if you will drop me a card at once giving one of our Mother's address I'd be so glad to run around to see her if only for a few minutes . Come down to see me sometime , glad you are getting so so [illegible] with your school . Much love from your sincere friend Ellen . Feb 15/09. " Addressed to: "Miss Myra Hunter , Riley N.C.
