Caption	MEETING THE FRENCH BROAD AND SWANNANOA RIVERS. Near Asheville, N.C. "Trysting, are you pretty waters./ Midst these mountains, way down South/ Where the beauty of its daughters/ Far exceeds the gals up North./ Swannanoa, whose crystal bubbles/Kissing mossy banks along/ Dashing then o'er strong cobbles/ 'There' to sing your sweetest song./ It is 'There' the 'French Broad greet you/There' to tell that oft-told tale/ Shadowed in by piney mountains/As you leap on through the vale./ Sons and daughters of this valley/Of these mountains proud are we/ Prouder still of your waters/ Through your trysting all we see./ Why we linger at this meeting/ That you hold so D-E-A-R/ Is, we wonder at your greeting/ Muddy waters with such cheer./ It may be as in 'Loves' eyes/ Faults are rarely seen/ And all the charm of a sweet maid lies/ Hidden in that muddy stream./ Then flow on, oh charming water/ With your sweetheart by your side/ For you've 'travelled far and sought her'/ Now bear 'Her' away, your bride."
