Abstract	Colored print. This map extends from the coast to the Appalachian Mountains and shows early settlements. Relief shown pictorially; depths shown by soundings. Includes one inset map: "A perticuler map for the going into Ashley and Cooper Rivers" [Scale ca. 1:203,000]. Also includes "A table of the names of such settlements as are upon Ashly and Cooper rivers & other adjacent places."
Historical Note	Based on Gascoyne's 1682 map, or the same original on which his map was based.
