This map was prepared by the North Carolina Geological and Economic Survey under the supervision of Joseph Hyde Pratt (1870-1942), state geologist, and in cooperation with the United States Geological Survey. The map portrays Franklin County at a situation date of ca. 1906-1907 and shows railroads, roads, mills, schools, churches, bridges, and other landmarks. Townships are delineated and identified and shown in color. A vicinity map appears in the lower left corner.
