Abstract	Depicts the Southeastern United States coast from Cape Charles south to St. Augustine. The map is oriented with north to the right. Relief shown pictorially. The path of explorer John Lederer through North Carolina is depicted, and several of the Native American villages he visited are noted. On the verso is "The Description of Florida" and "The Description of Carolina". The Carolina description relates Lederer's expedition into Carolina and explains the paths that Lederer took. Because of lamination, the verso cannot be read on this copy. To see the verso refer to MC.150/1676s c.2.
Bibliographic Note	This map is based on John Ogilby's 1672 map with few omissions. The cartouche is placed where Ogilby's inset of the Ashley and Cooper Rivers was. The Ogilby map delineates Lederer's route but does not refer to Lederer on the map or in the text.
