Reduced electrostatic copy. This map was prepared under the direction of the State Highway and Public Works Commission as one of a series of county maps published by the commission in 1936. This map portrays Robeson County and shows the state highways and county roads in the county. State highways are identified by their number designation and county roads by class and type. The locations of schools, churches, and other landmarks are also noted. A legend is found in the lower right corner. The highway district in which the county is located appears below the title in the upper right of the map. The extreme southeastern part of the county is shown as an inset in the lower left of the map. Supplements showing the state highways and county roads in Maxton, Lumberton, Lumber Bridge, Parkton, Proctorville, Fairmont, Red Springs, Rowland, Orrum, St. Pauls, and Pembroke appear as insets in the margins of the map.
