Print. This map was published in and extracted from Frank Leslie's Pictorial History of the War of 1861 (New York, 1862). It portrays a portion of eastern North Carolina and southeastern Virginia and shows cities and towns, railroads, and rivers, inlets and other bodies of water. The locations of forts are noted but little other military information is included.
