It portrays northeastern North Carolina in the vicinity of Albemarle and Pamlico sounds and a portion of southeastern Virginia. Cities and towns, railroads, major roads are shown. Rivers, swamps, and other waterways are identified. The locations of forts and other fortifications are noted.
