Abstract	Covers Atlantic and Gulf coasts from Norfolk, Virginia to the Florida Keys, extends west past Natchitoches Louisiana. Relief shown pictorially. Shows borders, settlements, roads, place names and natural features. The map shows the Catawba Indians (listed as "possessing 144,000 Acres") along the border between North and South Carolina, the Meherrin and Tuscarora in the eastern part of the state, and the Cherokee in the far west. Prime meridian: London. Includes insets: Plan of Charlestown [scale ca. 1:24,000]--Plan of St. Augustine [scale ca. 1:16,000].
