Print, mounted. This map by an unidentified cartographer/engraver was initially published pursuant to a November 1750 act of Parliament. The map portrays southeastern Canada in the vicinity of the St. Lawrence River and the Great Lakes and the British colonies in America. North and South Carolina are identified jointly as Carolina. The boundaries of the colonies are roughly delineated by dotted lines. Major colonial towns are noted, and Indian villages and the locations of various tribes are shown.
