Map shows townships, landowners, churches, post offices, African American churches, retail stores, mines, canneries, schools, sawmills, fairgrounds, factories, battlefields, wagon shops. In the upper border are photographs of Oneida Cotton Mills in Graham, N.C., Governor Thomas M. Holt, and Chief Justice Thomas Ruffin, with statistical data reported under each photograph. Also reported in the margins are the County Officers, the Board of County Commissioners, county data on agriculture and manufacturing, distances between towns, and historical, statistical, and geological data. Townships shown include Morton, Faucette, Pleasant Grove, Melville, Graham, Burlington, Boon Station, Thompson, Albright, Coble, Patterson, and Newlin.
