This Land Acquisition Map shows property around Pine Spur Park on the Blue Ridge Parkway. It was drawn by A.L. Altice some time after 1960. The map shows existing and proposed boundaries of land owned by the National Park Service, excess National Park Service land, and privately owned land. The map also shows the Blue Ridge Parkway running through the bottom left corner, as well as the border of Franklin and Floyd Counties, Va. In the bottom left corner there is a list of land tract numbers, vendors, acreage, present owners, and the date the land was acquired by the National Park Service. Vendors include Monroe Price (Heirs); George W. Conner; J.I. Nichols Estate; W.L. Stump; M.W. Lancaster (Heirs); P.C. Cooper; Mariah Price; James L. Webb; Florentine Yopp; Mary Tinsley Webb (Heirs); Dr. Samuel S. Guerrant; E.O. Tinsley (Heirs); and Tobitha Mills. Present owners are the National Park Service; Mrs. M.W. Lancaster; and E.O. Tinsley (Heirs).
