This Land Acquisition Map shows property around Pine Spur Park on the Blue Ridge Parkway, in Franklin County, Va. It was created by Fyfe and Huddleston in October of 1939. It was revised by E.W.B. in September of 1944, and by W.E.N. in January of 1962. The map shows buildings, wooded areas, springs, land owned by the National Park Service, and land to be acquired by the National Park Service. In the bottom left corner there is a list of tract numbers, land owners, and acreage for each section of land to be acquired by the National Park Service. Land owners identified include Monroe Price (Heirs); George W. Conner; J.I. Nichols Estate; W.L. Stump; M.W. Lancaster; P.C. Cooper; Mariah Price; James L. Webb; Mrs. Florentine Yopp; Mary Tinsley Webb (Heirs); Dr. Samuel S. Guerrant; Mrs. Alian Tinsley (Executrix); and Tobitha Mills. The total number of acres desired is 953.27.
