Counties are named and delineated and colored in shades of green, pink, and yellow. Relief shown by hachures. The map also show major towns and principal roads as are rivers and other important bodies of water. Mountain ranges and other topographical features are indicated. Parts of South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia are also included, but the map ignores the fact that North Carolina shares a border with Georgia. Longitude is measured from both Washington and Greenwich.
