Historical Notes | One of this bill’s four signatories (bottom left) was Samuel Swann. Representing Onslow County in North Carolina’s colonial assembly, Swann also served as speaker of that body’s 1760 sessions. The assembly met on three occasions in 1760, once in New Bern and twice in Wilmington. |
