Project description | Interviews with Jews living in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Wisconsin. The intersection of Jewish faith, family, and food in the South are discussed. Many of the interviews were produced in association with the Institute of Southern Jewish Life and the Museum of the Southern Jewish Experience in Jackson, Miss. All interviews were conducted by Marcie Cohen Ferris in 1998-2002. |
