Description	Image shows members of the Rocky Mount Chamber of Commerce touring Carolina House, Inc. as part of the "Salute to Industries" tour. Here they are viewing the upholstering step in the manufacturing process. The man in the center of the photo wearing a bow tie is the owner and president of Carolina House, Inc., Harold Minges. This photo was taken for an article in the October 13, 1968, Sunday Telegram ("Local Chamber Group Visits Carolina House Inc." , page 6 A). Carolina House, Inc. manufactured upholstered furniture in the low to medium price range using Early or Modern styling. They also presented their new styles at the October Market in High Point.
