Description	Image shows Ruffin Collie sitting on a bed opening birthday cards and presents. The occasion is his 106th birthday. The place is a bedroom in his home at Seven Paths Farm. An article with accompanying photos was published in the Rocky Mount Telegram on 02/06/1950. In 1950 Collie was one of the last surviving Civil War veterans.
