Abstract	Covers the area from the Great Lakes to South Carolina and from the Atlantic coast to the Mississippi River. Relief shown pictorially. Shows provinces, counties, towns and cities, rivers, Native American villages and tribal territory, forts, and numerous place names. Depicts areas of inhabitance in North Carolina by Native American tribes, including the Cherakees (Cherokees) and Catawbas. "Welsh settlements" are noted in southeastern North Carolina, near the Cape Fear River. Includes inset: Supplement pour la Carolina.
