This map portrays the upper or Headwaters to Kinston Area of the Neuse River Basin and shows all or part of the counties of Person, Orange, Granville, Durham, Wake, Johnston, Franklin, Nash, Wilson, Wayne, Lenoir, Pitt, and Greene. A heavy broken line divides the area of the Contentnea Creek sub-basin from that of the main Neuse basin. Waterways are depicted in blue on the map and named. Counties are delineated and named, and major municipalities are noted. U.S. and N.C. highways are also shown. A vicinity map appears as an inset in the lower left corner of the map.
