This map was published in London by John Fielding on December 1, 1783. This copy was published in and extracted from an undated issue of European Magazine. As the title indicates, the map portrays the territory which comprised the United States as determined by the Treaty of Paris with Great Britain in 1783. The boundaries of the individual states are delineated. Towns, forts, and major roads are shown, and rivers, lakes, mountains, and other topographical features are depicted. Relief shown pictorially. Shows areas inhabited by Native American tribes, including the Cherokees ("Cherakees"). "Welch Settlements" are shown in south central North Carolina.
